The idea
King before pawn: step up beside it (Kd2 or Kf2) and make for the key squares two ranks ahead of the pawn. Push early and it's a draw.
It ends when the pawn queens with the win intact — the queen mate after that is a drill of its own. A clean run has no move marked wrong and none shown.
